We've been broadcasting using satellite based internet for nearly 10 years now with great success, it's always been great in locations with poor or no 4G.
Their has however been two stumbling blocks (1) speed or lack of it & (2) latency/delay which has always made it more challenging for live TV work.
We are now able to offer Starlink on our OB van for live broadcasts and downlinks (our LiveU Playout Anywhere service https://www.paragonlive.tv/post/liveu-playout-anywhere ). Starlink has a similar latency/delay to 4/5G and speeds are usually around 200mb down & 40mb up.
By using Starlink we can reduce latency as well as use higher streaming speeds at a cheaper cost.
